Lived in GP for a couple of years and never visited until today. What a mistake to not visit sooner! Lovely staff who are great fun. Fantastic, tasty but not-too-rich food. Lasagne was great. Good atmosphere. Really recommend this as a proper easy, no fuss, but nice meal out at a good Italian without too much formality (aka no table cloths).

Food is great and I come here often but the blond waitress attacked me for no reason stating that in an empty restaurant I could not have the table of my choice and if I wasn't happy I should leave. Totally unprovoked as I didnt even say a word to her. I don't know if she was racist and didn't want to serve black people or what. I've been there so many times and always get great service from owner and his brother this was disconcerting as I love their salad and pastas. I will never return as long as she works there

Scalino is amazing! A great little spot in the heart of greenpoint, with a nice calm inside and great staff. The food here is always amazing, and the specials are epic!

Food is excellent. Service is friendly and the place has a nice relaxed "French tratoria" vibe .

Loved the food. Try the pasta with lemon, butter and mint. Great iced tea! Friendly service too.
